They threw their bags in the back and bolted for the airport. They were light because they had to be.
She couldn't afford to be lugging around suitcases where they were going, and there was no telling where that was at this point. All she knew was that he had said they were going somewhere new; a place they could get lost in the streets of an old city.
She mentally checked off the items she packed. She had enough, something for every occasion. Just the right mix to blend in without sacrificing the double takes she enjoyed so much. She tossed her hair back and smoothed out her skirt to hide her racing pulse. A slow smile spread into her eyes. This could be the most exciting trip yet.
